Comic Reader: CBR CBZ PDF (“the App”) is developed as a free application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly


We do NOT require you to create an account or provide any personal information (name, email, phone number, etc.).


2.2 Permissions requested


READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below) or MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (on Android 13+ when needed)

→ Used only to scan, read, and display your comic files (CBR, CBZ, PDF, etc.) and to save images when you use the “Save page as image” feature.

No internet permission is requested for core reading features.


2.3 Data collected automatically through advertising

The App displays advertisements using Google AdMob. The following information may be collected by Google and its partners:


Advertising ID (resettable in Android settings)

Device information (model, OS version, screen size)

Approximate location (only if you granted location permission to Google services)

App usage data and crash reports (via Firebase Analytics, part of AdMob)


This data is collected and processed solely by Google according to Google’s Privacy Policy:

3. How We Use Your Information


The storage permission is used only to read and display your comic files.

We do NOT collect, store, or share any personal information.

We do NOT read filenames or content beyond what is needed to show your library and thumbnails.


4. Third-Party Services


Google AdMob & Firebase Analytics: Used for serving ads and basic analytics (number of sessions, crashes, ad performance). Their privacy policy applies:

5. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be published inside the app (Settings → Privacy Policy) and on the Google Play listing.
